What We Do

Our intensive interventions are aimed at generating the greatest level of independence and recovery possible. Our interventions are based on the expanding science of neuroplasticity, which states that the brain is able to reorganize itself with increased repetition of previously learned patterns.

Ability Fitness Center aims to create a safe, welcoming, inclusive place for all individuals with neurological and developmental disabilities. Our expert clinicians work with you to develop custom programs to improve mobility and function at home and in the community.

Now Accepting Pediatric Clients!

We provide therapy-based services to children 0-18 years old who have been diagnosed with a neurological condition or developmental delay. Our goal is to bridge the gap in care and supplement a child’s therapy whether they are placed in a therapeutic break in the episodic care model, on the waitlist for PT services, or wanting increased therapy-based practice of their skills in addition to the current therapy they are receiving.

Our pediatric physical therapist provides play-based therapy interventions that may include practicing motor milestones, improving strength and range of motion, supporting or enhancing a child’s current level of function, developing balance and gait skills, and building adaptive skills. Each session is created to best support your child’s needs whether working towards crawling or practicing the mechanics of jumping in order to try out for a team.

We provide both individual and group sessions led by a physical therapist. Based on availability and the goals of your child, you may request for your child to join a group to be able to practice skills with their peers!

Common diagnoses that we may treat but are not limited to are: cerebral palsy, down syndrome, pediatric stroke, functional neurological disorder, spina bifida, developmental delays, coordination or balance disorders, TBI, as well as others.
